About our GIS and mapping work
We build easy-to-use, web-based digital maps that show all available data side by side, so oil and gas staff spend far less time searching for information.
Using integrated data, we evaluate and rank oil and gas licences or lease blocks quantitatively.
For pipeline routing, we run least-cost path analysis using cost rasters such as slope (derived from a digital elevation model) and land cover, to produce routes that are more environmentally friendly and lower in cost.

What is least-cost path analysis for pipeline routing?
It finds the route between two points with the lowest total cost across a cost surface. We build that surface from factors such as slope (from a digital elevation model) and land cover, so the chosen route avoids difficult or sensitive ground.
